Includes twelve wines across the day, plus a three-stage grazing lunch and a paid-up MYKI card for travel
The ‘RN74’ that runs North to South along Burgundy’s Cote d’Or is one of the most famous wine roads in the world. Having three little wine bars spread across the number 72 tram line makes us feel that Malvern Road is also a wine road worth exploring!
Let us take you on a three stop wine bar tour by tram, replicating a typical wine traveller’s journey from Champagne to the Rhone Valley, via the Cote-d’Or and Beaujolais!
Stop 1 – The Alps Wine Bar & Shop
Kick off the day with one of Champagne’s great grower-producers, alongside oysters in the sunny courtyard.
Stop 2 – Toorak Cellars
Here we will talk (and taste) all things Burgundy. From Chablis to Beaujolais, we will discover why that ‘B’ word makes wine geeks excited and why Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grown here is just, different…
Stop 3 – Milton Wine Shop
Welcome to the Rhone Valley, God’s Country for Syrah in the North, and Grenache In the South. If you like the words Cote-Rotie, Cornas and Chateauneuf-du-Pape amongst others, then you will certainly enjoy this stop.
This is where the tour concludes, but the night can begin!
